The Lebanese Ministry of Economy and Trade launched in 2004 a significant campaign on CNN, showcasing the cultural and tourist attractions of Lebanon to CNN's audience around the globe.
This campaign was entitled "Rediscover Lebanon", produced and executed by CNN. It comprised several short vignettes, aiming to challenge existing preconceptions about Lebanon and to reinstate confidence in the country as a safe and culturally rich destination for tourism.
The campaign showed the resurgence of Lebanon as a modern tourist destination. The promotional vignettes highlight the changing face of downtown Beirut, with (1) its cutting edge architecture, (2) its vibrant nightlife and (3) Lebanon as a world-class ski resort, as well as (4) Lebanon's historical sites, (5) beaches, (6) food and (7) wine.
